VO: Now, ET's
Break News about the controversial new Survivor. In a 13th
installment of the Emmy winning series the 20 castaways will be
divided in a whole new way along ethnic lines.
Probst: It is a
social experiment on a level that we've never done it before.
VO: Host Jeff
Probst says Survivor: Cook Islands is all about diversity.
Probst: Start
out with Asian-American, African-American and Hispanic and Caucasian.
Start the game that way knowing that at certain point we will merge.
VO: Among the new
Survivors are female cop with a shot line of duty, a make-up artist
from The View, a heavy-metal guitarist and the roller-derby girl.
Jonathan: I think
It is potentially, you know, dangerous.
Rebecca: And to
have to bring the race issue into it, just makes that much harder.
VO: The new season
kicks off September 14th on CBS.

this Sunday on NBC.
