Harry Smith: "Okay, reality fans, the wait is finally over. For the 3^rd time in twelve seasons Suvivor is gonna returns to the Panama´s Pearl Islands. This time, there is a big new twist in the game, Exile Island.

Probst: "We are off the coast of Panama, on a remote island that will play a dramatic role in the lives of our 16 Survivors, over the next 39 days. This is Exile Island [ominous music]. Each week, at least one Survivor will be banished here. Separated from their tribe, they'll have no idea what's going on back at camp, and they'll be forced to live on their own, 'til they return to the game."

Probst: "Well, we wanted to do a switch in Episode 2, so to get any impact, we had to bond them. And we bonded them by doing older men, older women, younger men, younger women, so that they would say, 'Okay, all the young girls, we stay together the whole way, no matter what.' Then in Episode 2, we switch them, to see what happens to those bonds."
